PowerPAK Mini Filtration System
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can the Filter be used as a gravity fed system or by human suction?
Yes. The PowerPAK mini filter can be used manually by placing the red striped tube in the water source connecting to filter and then connect the blue striped tube to filter and sucking the water by mouth from the blue striped tube ONLY.
How fast should the water come out of my filter?
Flow rates vary depending on how clean the filter is and how well you cleaned the filter. Altitude also affects the flow rates (the higher you go the slower the flow). However, using the PowerPAK mini pump, in optimal conditions, will product 1 gallon of fresh filtered water every 5 minutes.
How often should I backwash my filter?
We recommend backwashing your filter when you flow rate begins to diminish, before prolonged storage, and when you are ready to start using your filter again. Backwashing your filter after storage is a great way to re-wet the filters and restore the flow rate before use. Put clean water in syringe and force water in the reverse flow direction of filter to flush filter.
